The island unit is split level . Unusually, the lower is normal countertop height and contains a ceramic sink and a two ring hob with suspended extractor above , whereas the higher level is a serving surface that faces the table and has sliding shelves and drawers containing crockery , cutlery and linen.
The house is Victorian Gothic which I indicated by using gothic arches on some upper doors.
Darker paintwork behind glazed doors is particularly effective. In this case it is Fir green and the knobs are in the same colour.
