Painted kitchen with oak cornice and skirtings.

This client wanted a kitchen in the German Beidermeier style of furniture from the early 19th century. Architectural themes and classic ornaments of French Empire style are interpreted in a homely manner in this type of furniture.

We used birds eye maple veneer for all the panels and included interesting curved and bow fronted cabinets with contrasting black walnut pillars. We made an expandable table in maple for breakfast in this very small kitchen.

The double doors open into the walk in larder. The two wide doors beneath the window hide the washing machine and spindrier.
